Methods for making ceramic tiles
Different methods can be used for the manufacture of ceramic tiles. They differ not only in technology, but also by the purpose of the finished product.
The method of casting in the production of ceramic tiles requires that the starting raw material mass has a consistency of sour cream. Further, this mass is spilled in special forms that are made to the size of the tiles. In production using pressing, a powder mixture of clay with special additives is used. Under the influence of high pressure, this mixture and its pressing take place, resulting in a tile that has a low porosity. Extruding is progressive technology. In this method, the raw material mass passes through a special mouthpiece.
