Start the process by submitting an online application.
Submitting Documents
Submit the required documents to the Headquarters of the Directorate of Immigration Services located in Nairobi, specifically at Nyayo House, South Wing, Ground Floor.
Background Checks
As part of the assessment process, comprehensive background checks are conducted.
Permanent Residence Advisory Committee Interview and Recommendation
Applicants may be interviewed by the Permanent Residence Advisory Committee, which then makes recommendations based on their assessment.
Director General’s Approval Decision
The Director General of Immigration reviews the recommendations and makes the final decision on the application for permanent residence.
Notification of Approval
Once the application is approved, a notification will be sent via the eFNS portal account.
Payment of Permanent Residence Fees
Applicants are required to pay the prescribed fees for issuing a permanent residence.
Preparation and Issuance of the Certificate
After payment, the necessary preparations are made and the applicant is issued a Permanent Residence Certificate.
